Interesting question, and one that’s recently been proven by the SWET Trial conducted by The University of Nottingham. Pretty much conclusive evidence showed that softened water isn’t beneficial for exczema, although the trial by Kinetico should be interesting. Here’s what the SWET site says: The trial showed no objective difference in outcomes between the children whose homes were fitted with a water softener and those without.

Not sure if this is the right place to leave my response but here goes!

I have just finished the trial of the Kinetico water softner and am very pleased with the results on my eczema, it is so much better than 3 months ago, I would love to buy a unit!

Also my skin and clothes feel much softer and am definately using less products around the home.

I can’t get used to the taste of the water, that would be my only negative.

Well thank you Kinetico and Talk Health for allowing me to trial a unit.

The quality of my life os much improved indeed.
