Researchers from Finland have discovered that people who take high doses of zinc supplements may experience around a 40% reduction in the length of common colds.

This latest study is published in the Open Respiratory Medicine Journal, and was undertaken by a team led by Dr Harri Hemila, from the University of Helskinki.
