So once again, summer is just a few short weeks away (well, for me) and for once, my skin seems to be okay.

Usually at this time of year with all the heat and humidity, it usually flares up. Yet somehow it’s managing and I haven’t done anything different from my usual routine. I’m using the same stuff I usually do in the shower (Aveeno body wash) and bath (Derma Veen Oatmeal bath stuff), moisturising with the same moisturiser (Aveeno Skin Relief Moisturiser with soothing menthol) and I haven’t had to use any steroid creams. The only bit of eczema I have is on my legs, but that should hopefully go away soon.

Maybe, after all this time (just over 1.5 years), all the medication I’m taking as well as all the desensitising injections I’ve been having are finally paying off.

Fingers crossed it continues in the same way over the coming weeks!

Hope everybody’s skin isn’t giving them too much trouble. If it is, I hope it behaves itself very soon!

xoxo

I've had eczema now for 20 years and have tried nearly every treatment there is. I grew up in Sydney where night after night my mum layered me in creams, spent three and a half years in Vancouver where my eczema virtually disappeared and I am now in Brisbane and have lived here for 10.5 years. Over my 20 years I've tried various treatments and I'm now at a point where it's not controlling my life. I'm here to share my journey and spread my knowledge on all things eczema and I hope to be able to help in any way I can.
