Well, it’s been well over a week since I wrote my last blog! And why is this you ask? Well, I think I’ve lost my way a little already … I’ve still lost 5.5 pounds in total (not put any back on which is positive) but I’ve not lost anymore in the last 2 weeks.

A little glass of wine here and there has crept in, as has the odd sandwich and piece of toast. Bread and wine! There’s a story there somewhere …. but I think I need to stop drinking the wine and eating the bread.

So today I’ve decided to take control again. Two weetabix for breakfast with semi-skimmed milk, a cheeky latte (with a vanilla shot too) but made up for (I hope) by 4 Ryvita with low fat soft cheese, 4 cherry tomatoes and an apple. But, I’m craving something sweet and this is made all the more tricky having to sit next to my colleague who’s just eaten this!!!

Let's Eat Cake - but not if you're on a diet!!

For anyone trying to lose weight it IS NOT A PIECE OF CAKE!! It’s hard work over a long period of time. There’s no quick fix and I need to keep reminding myself of that. I just wish it was easier or I was one of those people who could eat whatever I wanted, as I’d be slim and eating cake all the time!
