Hey guys! I have some (possibly) shocking news for you!

But firstly, MERRY CHRISTMAS! I had a great day, which included a delicious Paleo-friendly Christmas dinner! The contents of this meal is in the previous blog post 🙂

Anyway, on to the shocking news! For a while now I’ve had a few problems, as well as eczema. These problems are just little annoyances, or so I thought, and I contemplated going to the doctor about them many times, but to be honest, I couldn’t face any more doctors after practically living with them due to my eczema for the last 2 or 3 years!

However, lately I’ve been having trouble with urination (sorry if this is unpleasant for you to read, haha) but I’ve been going to the bathroom aaaalllll the time for quite a while now. Originally I thought it was because of the changes in my diet, so I waited for my body to get used to it, which it obviously never did. So in one of my recent skin check-ups in the doctors (in which I had a great time explaining how much better my skin was without steroids) I confronted him, so he asked me for a urine sample to check if it was a bladder infection, which it wasn’t, then he asked me for blood tests, and he explained that the cause might be diabetes, but he waved that off because it’s “extremely unlikely”.

BUT, I’ve been researching the hell out of it and I’ve found that all those “annoyances” are all symptoms, including my eczema!
It kind of makes sense, because I’ve said before that I’m a BIG junk food lover, and ever since I came to college (when my eczema started getting oh so much worse) I’ve had full access to junk food in vending machines and crazy cheap offers in shops! But the people in the doctors have been off for Christmas, so I won’t get my blood test results back until the end of this week 🙁
None of my family think it’s diabetes, but what really made me believe it was the fact that I had chocolate this morning, and I analysed how my body reacted. Soon after the chocolate was down my gullet my heart started racing as if I’d just power-walked through my whole village!

So now all I can do is await my results and see what the doctors say, but if it is diabetes then I may have a chance of waving this eczema goodbye if I get it under control! I will update you when I get the results 🙂

Hope everyone had a very merry Christmas!

Bye guys,

Hey, my name is Brooke. Basically, I have this blog so I can talk about eczema. I have suffered with eczema all my life, and when I turned 13 it flared up for no apparent reason, and has remained basically the same. So on here I will hopefully be blogging everyday explaining new things I am using to try and fight eczema, and hopefully I will overcome it. Happy blogging!
