The Daily Mail today features women who thought they were menopausal but instead were pregnant.
It appears that many women over 40 are falling pregnant when they think they are menopausal. The Department of Health revealed that the number of abortions in women over 40 has increased by a third in the last decade.
A recent survey conducted by Menopause Matters found that 27 per cent of pre-menopausal, 32 per cent of peri-menopausal and 40 per cent of post-menopausal women used no contraception at all.
