4.5lbs off and Slimmer of the Week – quite a good haul on one of those weeks that I didn’t feel any different really!

What is it about weight loss? There are those weeks when you work your balls off and try so hard…and lose 0.5lbs…and then those weeks when you just mooch along and end up losing a decent amount. Last week I lost 1.5lbs and did nothing different this week to lose 4.5lbs – oh…actually, I ate more burgers I think! Bring on my double decker veggie burgers!

Seriously though, all of these people who tell you to move more and eat less should have a month in my shoes and see how weird and wonderful a body can be when on an extremely large weight loss journey – any weight loss journey for that matter! Some weeks just do not go as you expect…and those weeks used to send me right off track. I now realise that this is just part of weight loss – life has ups and downs…so does this. You just have to keep going…and you end up evening out eventually.

Anyway, group today was fun – as usual! Pizza Lady yet again did not disappoint…we had a lady who had joined a couple of weeks ago but weighed in for the first time today – and had lost 13.5lbs in the two weeks. Pizza Lady said, “Wow, what is it that you are doing that we aren’t then?”…”Following the plan!”, was my response – it came out of my mouth before I could stop it!

She was then shocked when looking through her book – which our consultant has asked us to get out – that there was a list of Superfree foods – she genuinely had no idea that they were there. She also couldn’t get her head around the Superfree vs Speed and SuperSpeed food…despite this having been explained a number of times.

And the icing on the cake was when she mentioned eating Quality Street – she had no idea that they were 2.5 syns each…she thought that because they were small, it was okay! I suppose you have to admire that sort of logic! She really does make me laugh.

So the discussion in group today was about soup – lovely soup – and the Speed and SuperSpeed foods. These are those foods that are either ‘free’ or ‘superfree’ but that have a lower calorie density than others within that category…for example, both strawberries and mango are a superfree food – but as strawberries are lower in calories than mango, they are SuperSpeed…giving you a quicker weight loss weight for weight when compared to mango. The same goes for cod and salmon…both ‘free’ but salmon contains more calories due to the good oils / fat…so cod is also SuperSpeed as well as free. So if you are looking for a decent loss one week, pick the foods with ‘S’ or ‘SS’ symbols next to them!

Right then – today has been good! Other than group, which I love, I spent some nice quality time with my Mum and the horses. We were waiting for our farrier to come and give the horses their pedicure. His, “I will be there in the afternoon”, means anytime between 12.30pm and 5.30pm…so I wrapped up in a nice fleece coat and spent most of the day looking at this view…

20130917-194646.jpgIt blew the cobwebs away, that’s for sure! It was cold and miserable but I was just glad to be out in the fresh air. I also had some time to pamper the horses. My Welsh Cob likes to pose, as you can see…

20130917-195052.jpgAnd his tormented field-mate, whom he chases around all day was also quite appreciative of a pamper!

20130917-195816.jpgAfter chatting with the farrier for a while, I headed home for a late lunch and a catch up with Jessie P. This evening is nice and sedate and I am planning on another couple of episodes of Jack Bauer…season 7 is pretty awesome so far!

Breakfast: Banana…followed by more fruit after weigh in!20130917-190447.jpg20130917-190453.jpgLunch: Burgers! (2 x HEB).

20130917-190844.jpgDinner: Cheesy peas and chips (2 x HEA).

20130917-200044.jpgSnacks: French Fries (24 syns).

20130917-190942.jpgA day of strange times of eating…my banana was early – before group, the rest of the fruit was after group at the horses…kind of brunch. The burgers were eaten at 4pm…dinner has just been finished at 8pm…and I haven’t started the crisps yet. No superfree with my dinner – just chips, mushy peas and cheese…delicious, but I actually missed the superfree…no mushrooms anywhere in sight today! ;-) My other half has just said that he is getting fed up of vegetables…I feel that I might have to liquidize his veggies to hide them in his meals!

Exercise: Lots of activity at the horses today – a good grooming session always builds up a sweat!

Thank you for reading – and I hope that your week is going well,

WeightLossBitch

On a health and fitness driven journey to lose over 32st / 448lbs / 203kgs – yes, it is a considerable amount – I am committed to losing my excess weight without the aid of weight loss surgery, diet pills, or quick fixes…as there aren’t any! Changing my eating habits and building up my fitness levels, along with addressing the ‘head issues’ will be crucial in order for me to achieve my goal. Living in England as a 31 year old super morbidly obese woman can be challenging to say the least. I have been shouted at in the street and verbally abused far too many times to mention; hence the name ‘Weight Loss Bitch’…the day I am just called a ‘bitch’ instead of a ‘fat bitch’ will be the day that I know I have cracked my weight loss! With many reasons to lose this weight I am documenting my journey for a number of reasons. Firstly, I would like to keep a record of the ups and downs, the highs and lows, and the challenges I face with such an enormous task to tackle. Secondly, I would also like to inspire and encourage other people who are in a similar situation and to show them that significant amounts of weight can be lost naturally…with a bit of motivation, hard work, dedication and will power. Thirdly, all of the blogging, Facebook-ing, Tweet-ing, Pinterest-ing and YouTube-ing keeps me occupied and keeps my fingers out of the fridge!
