I’ve done it – I have lost 16st with Slimming World…16st 1lb to be precise…225lbs of useless fat gone for good!

I am just thrilled to be heading to Scotland 12st lighter than when I went up there last year…I will actually be able to get out of the car and enjoy the scenery rather than just watching it!

So group today was pretty good. I needed 0.5lb off to get my 16st award, and 3.5lbs to push me just over my halfway mark…so I will probably hit that whilst I am away, as I only managed 1.5lbs, but it will be nice to have it confirmed when I get back. And the competitive part in me is wondering if I could possibly get my 16.5st and 17st award at my post-holiday weigh in…last year I lost 12lbs…this year I would need to lose 12.5lbs! LOL – I am never happy am I? All I want is to come back with a good loss and to have a wonderful holiday!

I picked up Slimmer of the Month too with a 12lb loss – so a good haul today. In fact, a lovely lady on Twitter wondered what my fridge looked like with the Slimmer of the Month and Slimmer of the Week magnets – here’s a sneak peak…

20130924-194406.jpgMy other half always complains that I am filling the fridge…and a couple have made their way under the washing machine I think. But I am proud of them…my little badges of honour! :-)

Pizza Lady was on form again today – I just love her; she is so funny! It’s just a collection of little comments that make me laugh. I am hoping today that I helped her out, as she was saying that she is getting a little depressed with putting weight on and not losing it. I managed to refrain from telling her to read the fecking book and stop making her own weight loss plan up! Instead, she said that she struggled to go shopping, as she doesn’t drive and gets a taxi but doesn’t like carrying bags full of stuff. I suggested online shopping, which she hasn’t done before, and mentioned maybe writing out a meal plan for the week and putting the ingredients in the basket as she wrote the plan out, and getting it delivered…she thought it was a great idea, so hopefully it works for her. I would really love to see her lose weight, but she seriously does get so much help and support that short of moving her in to my consultants house, I don’t know what the answer is!

We had a lady reach target today, which was lovely. I think she had lost 1st 8lbs – and whilst that might not be an epic amount to some, to her, it made a real difference. She said that she was starting to feel breathless at her heaviest, and that her mobility was affected – and both have now improved. It was really nice to see that weight loss of any size really does make a difference. Even that 10% for your Club 10 award makes a huge difference – so many health benefits that we can’t see, let alone those that we do notice.

There was talk about sweet food – and cravings. We talked about our bodies being tired and needing a slow release carb to keep us going – but most of us turn to quick release and processed carbs such as chocolate. This conversation started after the lady I mentioned last week – who had lost 13lbs in two weeks – had put 1lb on today. When she discussed what she was eating, it was hardly anything…I would have eaten for breakfast what she had in a day! So her energy levels hadn’t been great this week and she was really feeling her sweet-tooth cravings. I guess the moral is to keep our bodies going with good healthy, slow-release carbs so that our energy levels don’t dip. At least it is one box checked in terms of keeping the craving monster at bay!

Anyway, I won’t ramble on…it’s been a long day and I am shattered…and I need to turn off Great British Bake Off as I don’t normally get sweet cravings…but I could eat pretty much everything they are making! Other than group, I managed to do some holiday packing, respond to loads of emails, see my sister and the kids, see the horses, head to the shops, and I saw my Dad as I am borrowing one of his camera lens’ for my holiday. I am hoping to watch some mindless TV later!

Breakfast: Banana.

20130924-195323.jpgLunch: Burgers! (2 x HEA, 2 x HEB and 4 syns).

20130924-195410.jpgDinner: Veggie rice (2.5 syns).

20130924-195445.jpgSnacks: Crisps (30 syns).

20130924-195524.jpgOooh – I have been a greedy WLB today – 36.5 syns – eek! As I have said before, due to my weight I get 20/25 syns per day…but never use them, so on a Tuesday I will have my crisps and enjoy them. However, the burgers snuck in, and the rice had a couple of syns…it was a nice reminder of how easy it is to ‘forget’ a few syns here and there. I am so glad that I take pictures of what I eat as it really does keep me on track. Plus, I was going to head out for a carvery – and they cook their roasties in goose fat, add cream to their mash, butter to their veggies and make the gravy with meat juices…not to mention their delicious homemade sausages and gargantuan Yorkshire puddings…! So, on balance, I would prefer to be able to count my syns as I did today rather than eat out and guess. Brekkie was eaten after weigh in, as I got carried away with holiday packing and the time just flew. Lunch was my usual Asda meat free burgers with sweet pickle gherkins…delicious! Dinner was a packet of Uncle Bens golden veg rice, some cabbage, peas, spinach, onion, mushrooms, peppers and tomatoes with chilli and smoked paprika…a cupboard throw-together after I decided that my pyjamas were more appealing than a carvery!

Exercise: Nowt!

Thank you for reading…and thank you for your support – it means a lot. :-)

Weight Loss Bitch xxx

WeightLossBitch

On a health and fitness driven journey to lose over 32st / 448lbs / 203kgs – yes, it is a considerable amount – I am committed to losing my excess weight without the aid of weight loss surgery, diet pills, or quick fixes…as there aren’t any! Changing my eating habits and building up my fitness levels, along with addressing the ‘head issues’ will be crucial in order for me to achieve my goal. Living in England as a 31 year old super morbidly obese woman can be challenging to say the least. I have been shouted at in the street and verbally abused far too many times to mention; hence the name ‘Weight Loss Bitch’…the day I am just called a ‘bitch’ instead of a ‘fat bitch’ will be the day that I know I have cracked my weight loss! With many reasons to lose this weight I am documenting my journey for a number of reasons. Firstly, I would like to keep a record of the ups and downs, the highs and lows, and the challenges I face with such an enormous task to tackle. Secondly, I would also like to inspire and encourage other people who are in a similar situation and to show them that significant amounts of weight can be lost naturally…with a bit of motivation, hard work, dedication and will power. Thirdly, all of the blogging, Facebook-ing, Tweet-ing, Pinterest-ing and YouTube-ing keeps me occupied and keeps my fingers out of the fridge!
