This time though, it was ascended and descended with the help of one of these…

I did it – I finally managed to find a day when the cable cars were running! Although that picture was taken on the way back down…as I was holding on too tight on the way up to take any! ;-)

So that is my final challenge of the holiday complete – or the challenges I had set myself…I will have to get looking for some more as I have a week left up here!

It was okay actually. I was a bit worried that it wouldn’t move with me in it – not in the sense that it wouldn’t get up the hill, but that it kind of rolls on tracks where you get on and off them and it seemed to stutter a bit when I got on! Then there was a sign for the weight capacity once I was in it…so I quickly calculated kilos to stones and realised that the three of us were nowhere near the 75st limit! Although last year we would have been a lot closer! ;-)

I took a few pictures whilst on the move…

20131004-171430.jpgAnd then these ones were taken at the top…please note the tasty looking cake right under my nose – I made do with a chamomile tea!

20131004-172625.jpgI didn’t stay up there very long, as I had forgotten my hat and my ears had gone numb with cold! I was just pleased that I made it up and down in one piece really.

Today has been a good shopping day too. I managed to resist buying anything in the Highland Soap shop in Spean Bridge – which has the most gorgeous smelling candles, soap (rather obviously!), and lotions and potions. The smell when you walk in is amazing – not quite as amazing as the smell of walking past the chip shop that I mooched by at lunchtime – but amazing nonetheless!

We headed to Fort Augustus and I couldn’t resist buying this beauty…

20131004-173356.jpgI have a larger one at home and thought they would look lovely together – and as it was £13 I just couldn’t leave it behind! I also picked up a gorgeous mirror too – and a couple of pony postcards…

20131004-173940.jpgThat is pretty much it for today really. I had a major realisation that I am doing so much more than I would at home…so I guess in a way that I am treating myself whilst I am on holiday – but treating myself to confidence, courage and love instead of food!

Tomorrow I think I am going to head back to my green fishy hut in Oban…and this time I will be treating myself with food! ;-) I am going to sit and enjoy their delights on the harbour and I am going to do it in full view of passers-by…and if they don’t like what they see, then they can feck off! :-)

Breakfast: 0% Greek yogurt with fruit, and smoked salmon with wilted spinach.

20131004-174117.jpgLunch: Two smoked beef and salad rolls (2 x HEB).

20131004-174239.jpgDinner: Smoked mussels with stuffed peppers and homemade coleslaw (2 x HEA and 2 syns).

20131004-184719.jpgSnacks: Fruit.

20131004-181256.jpgA gorgeous food day! Brekkie was delicious, and lunch was lovely – the smoked beef tasted amazing. Dinner was a little bit of a mixture – I had my smoked mussels cold, and made some coleslaw – just a packet of ranch salad with my own dressing (lighter than light mayo, a little yogurt and garlic) and then I butterflied some peppers and put some chilli flakes and cheese on them before baking…it was awesome! And fruit just finished the day off nicely.

Exercise: Mooching around the shops was it really!

Thank you for reading – and have a wonderful weekend,

WeightLossBitch

On a health and fitness driven journey to lose over 32st / 448lbs / 203kgs – yes, it is a considerable amount – I am committed to losing my excess weight without the aid of weight loss surgery, diet pills, or quick fixes…as there aren’t any! Changing my eating habits and building up my fitness levels, along with addressing the ‘head issues’ will be crucial in order for me to achieve my goal. Living in England as a 31 year old super morbidly obese woman can be challenging to say the least. I have been shouted at in the street and verbally abused far too many times to mention; hence the name ‘Weight Loss Bitch’…the day I am just called a ‘bitch’ instead of a ‘fat bitch’ will be the day that I know I have cracked my weight loss! With many reasons to lose this weight I am documenting my journey for a number of reasons. Firstly, I would like to keep a record of the ups and downs, the highs and lows, and the challenges I face with such an enormous task to tackle. Secondly, I would also like to inspire and encourage other people who are in a similar situation and to show them that significant amounts of weight can be lost naturally…with a bit of motivation, hard work, dedication and will power. Thirdly, all of the blogging, Facebook-ing, Tweet-ing, Pinterest-ing and YouTube-ing keeps me occupied and keeps my fingers out of the fridge!
