hydration1Water  – did you know that it’s the best fuel for a healthy life – and in fact one of the most precious and important commodities in the world?

Water makes up 2/3rds of our body and therefore it is essential to drink enough to maintain a health level  at all times.

talkhealth visited Frimley Park Hospital – NHS Foundation Trust on Wednesday  19th – where these lovely ladies were handing out bottles of water with some great advice and facts (as below) , in support of this fantastic initiative which is a global challenge.

Good Hydration can:

  • Prevent falls
  • Prevent pressure sores
  • Prevent constipation
  • Prevent urinary tract infections
  • Prevent kidney stones
  • Reduce the risk of heart disease
  • Help prevent low blood pressure
  • Drinking more water improves oral health
  • Drinking more water can improve cognitive impairment (memory loss)

AIM FOR AT LEAST 8 DRINKS THROUGHOUT THE DAY OF ANY FLUID EXCEPT ALCOHOL…. TAP WATER IS THE CHEAPEST AND THE BEST!

You will find that many of your hospitals this week, along with many hosting the National Tea Party today…. in fact not just in the UK, but all over the world.
