Learn to make freefrom cakes at The Perfect Retreat in Chesham

If you want to learn how to make cakes like these…

Then you need to book yourself a place on Lucia’s Free From Baking Allergen Free course on 4th November.

You’ll learn how to make cakes and pastries. Lucia makes amazing freefrom sausage rolls.

Lucia says, “We strive to create a range of free from produce in order to cater to a wide selection of people who have previously been overlooked.

The current favourite is Lucia’s own gluten free carrot cake, so good that even those who can eat ‘normal’ cake put aside their prejudices for a piece of healthy indulgence.

For those who are diabetic or have other types of sugar free intolerance’s we have found a solution in the form of coconut palm sugar, so good you will not believe it has a GI of around 35. If this level of GI is too high, we can make cakes to order from other sugar free ingredients.

The cafe usually has a chocolate example ready for those who need a pick me up at the end of the busy day.

As we have our own bakery on the premises we are able to make special orders.

We can supply allergen free cakes for children’s parties that are so tasty that all will be able to indulge. That smile on the kid’s face that is usually left out is worth a little extra effort.

Do you need to impress a gluten intolerant business man with some tasty apple tartlets, that attention to detail may the little extra you need to bring the deal home.

We can also cater for most with very specific dietary needs. There are many combinations of allergens that people can be sensitive to and we cannot stock cakes for all the different combinations in all the flavours. We can make most cakes free from a variety of allergens with a little a notice.”

This cookery course will hopefully be the first of many Lucia and her team will provide from their friendly cafe. Please tell your friends and book your place today. Space will be limited to 6 people so book early to avoid disappointment.

Who should attend?

Anyone who wants to cook gluten, wheat, nut, dairy and soya free cakes, pastries etc. Whether you are an adult with allergies or a parent of an allergic child this course will teach you loads. Lucia works magic in the kitchen with really natural, simple and tasty ingredients.

If you are coeliac or have a gluten sensitivity all Lucia’s bakes are suitable for you too – the more the merrier. You’ll just have to leave out the butter and nuts for the evening – but you’ll be surprised how amazing they turn out – and they’re healthier too.
