Yesterday (Wednesday 11 November), we collaborated with Mölnlycke Health Care, makers of Epaderm® emollient, to bring you a #talkskin Twitter Chat. This time, we wanted to give our members a chance to pick each other’s brains about dealing with skin conditions in the winter months.

And you certainly didn’t disappoint! From 12 – 1pm on the day, skin care experts, parents, partners, and sufferers of conditions like eczema came together to engage in a lively discussion about how best to keep your skin moisturised and hydrated in the winter months, how to choose the right emollient for your skin, how to apply emollients most effectively, and much more besides.

Make sure to check out our Storify of the Chat – a compilation of the most interesting tweets and the most useful nuggets of advice from the day. Sufferers of eczema and similar conditions will want to read all the way to the bottom for our 5 Top Tips for managing dry skin in the winter – as a taster, did you know that it’s best to apply emollient before your skin gets dry?

Look out for another Twitter Chat next Wednesday – along with @SEQuaderma, we’ll be Chatting with all of you about skin conditions, body image, and any experiences you have of being judged based on the way you look, particularly if you suffer from a skin condition. Get involved on Wednesday between 12 – 1pm by tweeting using the #TakeaSEQondLook hashtag. And don’t forget to follow us on Twitter to make sure you never miss out on our future Twitter Chats (as well as #FreebieFridays, give-aways, and loads more interesting information, tips, and links).

See you on Twitter!
