With more than 100 forms of arthritis and musculoskeletal diseases, the cost to the UK for musculoskeletal conditions is over £5billion annually. With Arthritis being a disease that affects more than 10 million people of all ages across the UK, Premier Care in Bathing decided to create an awareness video on the topic.
Putting yourself in the shoes of somebody else is often the best way to understand what they may be going through. Premier Care in Bathing simulated what it would be like to live with arthritis – by challenging a set of twins to try an “arthritis suit” for a day.
The storyline follows:
- Two able-bodied twins about to embark on a journey to meet each other for a morning coffee.
- One twin is wearing the suit which is fitted to simulate stiff, aching limbs while the other twin is free to move as normal.
- The highlights of their day are captured on the camera showing the differences in their journey.
