Channel 4’s The Food Hospital looks at whether diet can help improve various conditions. One of the participants was 7 year old Callum and his mum Karen, both psoriasis sufferers.

Experts suggested a diet of oily fish, turmeric, cinnamon and fruit and vegetables all of which have anti-inflammatory properties. They also both began taking fish oil supplements each day.

Four months on from commencing this diet Callum’s skin is clear and Karens has dramatically improved as well.

Psoriasis isn’t the only condition believed to be improved by diet, research is currently being conducted into links between diet and arthritis, diet and dementia and many more.
