Re: hayfever in pregnancy
Hello, thank you for your post.
Hay fever in pregnancy can be tricky to treat in the pharmacy. Generally, there are limited products you can buy because of their restrictions in pregnant women. This is because not enough studies have been conducted as to their effects in pregnancy.
In order to effectively treat your symptoms, I would suggest that you visit your local GP or midwife to have a discussion with them about what would be safest to use whilst you are pregnant. In the meantime, there are things you can do to help manage your condition at home. NHS choices has lots of helpful advice to help you minimise your exposure to pollen which will trigger your symptoms. Take a look at their self care advice here: http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Hay-fever/ ... ntion.aspx
I really hope you find this information helpful and you don't suffer too much over the Summer months,
Justine
