Itchy, scratchy little one? Let skin heal with ScratchSleeves, the mitts that really do work.
Suffering sleepless nights thanks to baby eczema, chicken pox, measles or other itchy skin conditions and regularly finding abandoned scratch mitts where your loved one wriggled out of them frustrates the most experienced parents. ScratchSleeves both stay on and their soft silk mitts minimise scratching damage. Available in sizes from 0-3m to 11-12y
You can make this a thing of the past with Scratchsleeves because:
- The outer silk mitts protect the skin while the inner layer of soft cotton allows full movement
- Most toddlers are unable to remove them
- They enable skin to heal, and reduce irritation and infection
- Only soft cotton and silk touches your child’s skin, so they are extremely comfortableThe fabrics are robust and machine washable
- They are working on children throughout the world.
- ScratchSleeves can also help with hair pulling, thumb-sucking and post operative healing.
As children become more independent they will of course learn how to put on and take off their own clothes without help, and ScratchSleeves are no exception. For older, more independent children we recommend putting ScratchSleeves on underneath their regular clothing or PJs. During the day putting ScratchSleeves on under a set of dungarees or a strapped top can be a practical solution as the ScratchSleeves can be put on or taken off by an adult without the need to remove other clothing but are much more difficult for children to remove by themselves.

It fit perfectly for her age. It was easy to wash and dry and remained good quality even though it was washed on a regular basis, obviously if we chose to use this we would have to buy a number of them.
It actually prevented her from scratching at the inside of her elbow but as she sleeps in a sleeping bag she wouldn’t be able to get at the eczema behind her knees.
I don’t think her eczzema is severe enough to use this on a daily basis, but might consider it when it flares up as it does when she is teething.

First of all the Scratchsleeves were very easy to put on. I put them on my little one and he was fussy first of all but then as time went on it did not bother him at all.
My little one slept very well in it no more scratching his arm and hands. I was able to put his cream on his skin and then put the Scratchsleeves on and he was able to get on with being a naughty boy.
I would recommend the Scratchsleeves to those with eczema babies, toddlers and even older children. They really do work and the beauty is that my little ones skin could heal properly. At the first sign of any scratching his creams go on and so does his Scratchsleeves - the best thing I ever got. I love the fact I have something else to put on him to further help with the healing process.

I received the ScratchSleeves in the post very quickly from sign up. I was impressed with the compactness of the packaging.
My son is five years old and has had eczema since birth along with food allergies which affect his skin and is prone to dry skin in the winter months.
As soon as I opened the packet and showed him the sleeves, he was very excited! He loved the colour of the sleeves and instantly rubbed the soft hand part of the sleeves on his face.
They were so easy to pop on, sometimes we put them over his PJ’s so he had the option of removing them or sometimes if his skin was particularly itchy and sore we would pop them under his pyjamas. He was still able to itch his skin but with no effect / further irritation to his skin.
They really did help us get on top of a flare up to enable him to not make the skin more sore.
They were easy to wash as per the care instructions
These were definitely a winner in our house and we would definitely purchase another pair and some PJ’s for when his eczema is really poor.
Thank you so much for letting us test out the sleeves – we love them! And wish we had heard of them sooner.

ScratchSleeves have been much a surprise to me as to how well they have suited my 12 month old. I thought he would hate them but he doesn’t seem to mind them a bit and they seem to have a containing effect on him. So far they’ve stayed on no problem each and every night. Of course with regards to his eczema they are fantastic as they’ve completely eliminated any night time scratches. They are so good I’ve already bought the ScratchSleeve pyjama bottoms to stop him breaking skin through rubbing his feet and ankles together. They are great too.

We have been using the Scratchsleeves to stop nail biting and cuts to the scalp. It’s mainly at bed time that we have found Scratchsleeves beneficial and that is when my son can damage the delicate skin without thinking about what he is doing.
The silky mitten stops the roughness of the nails that would otherwise cause abrasions and further his irritation and discomfort.
The only negative is as it is a mit, it can prevent hands being used while awake to complete certain tasks that require good grip. Other than that, the sizing for his age group of 5-6 years is perfect and it is comfortably worn for long periods of time.
I can see this lasting us a long time, the quality and finish of this garment is to a high standard and it washes very nicely. Thank you for this brilliant product.

I stumbled across the chance to review these Scratch Sleeves and I was very excited as my eczema has spiralled out of control and I was scratching, with blood everywhere. I had tried to create my own Scratch Sleeves but they were filled with holes and were falling apart. I was lucky enough to receive a custom pair of Scratch Sleeves and they came within a few weeks. The first thing I loved about them was the silk part on the sleeves and I also loved how the labels were all sewn on the outside, instead of the inside, as I’ve always had a problem with labels on clothes scratching me. I have been wearing them at night for a few months now and I really like how cooling they are when you put them on, which soothes my hot and itchy arms. I also like how soft they are on my broken skin, and they don’t catch in the wounds or anything like that. One thing that I would recommend, however, is that they are better worn in between layers, so place them on top of a t-shirt and then place a night shirt on top, as I have found that I am able to easily pull them off in the middle of the night and then carry on scratching. But overall, I really think that they had improved my quality of sleep with my skin being really bad lately due to my eczema. I would recommend these to others, especially teenagers and adults like me that may find it hard to go to sleep with their eczema and are finding something to help. They aren’t just for small children and babies!
Having had two children suffering from eczema, I can only say I wish these had been around when my first daughter was born. My youngest daughter suffers particularly at night and sleep times with itching and irritation and the ScratchSleeves have prevented her from scratching the skin which can lead to the breaking of the skin and bleeding.
The sleeves are simple to put on and despite their purpose, did not appear to restrict my baby in any way. She took a little time to get used to them but this was due to not being able to grasp items. She very quickly adapted and was able to navigate around not having her usual pincher grasp.
The design prevents from the sleeves being ale to be removed which is a massive help whilst she is sleeping. Any rubbing against the skin with her hands is minimised by the silk mitten design and this prevents further irritation.
The most useful thing aside from not being to scratch at the skin is they also give the skin a chance to heal. I have had to use less steroid cream on her as a result of the improving condition.
Thank you very much for giving me the opportunity to trial the ScratchSleeves, they have been a massive help and will no doubt make life more comfortable for my daughter going forward.

Over the two weeks in which the ScratchSleeves were used I saw a massive improvement in my child’s night time itching. In the two weeks there has been a visible improvement on redness and skin damage. The product had allowed open wounds time to heal and new skin to grow with less damage being done during the night. The product is comfortable to use while sleeping and really made a difference. My child found them easy to sleep with and comfortable.
Will continue to use this product for sure.

Essential for babies with eczema.
This product helped my daughter who has eczema. The sleeves are quite warm so be careful of overheating. The hand parts are made out of silk to help stop scratching. The only problem was the design of the sleeves as it wrapped around her back and it was quite stiff. They are amazing and also wash really well. The product could be improved by perhaps adding thumb holes for the smaller children. Also good sizing overall an amazing product for children with eczema or scratching problems.

We tested the ScratchSleeves on my 6 year old son who has atopic eczema ansd multiple allergys along with asthma. His first impression was how soft these were and the colour was perfect. In fact he said he felt like a superhero. Once out the bath I creamed him as usual then put the ScratchSleeves on, we didn’t need anything else over as the silky mitts at the end prevented him from scratching which he normally does on a regular basis. This product is fab and stretchy so doesn’t cause any distruptions to sleep ie pulling when they turn over. In fact when he wore this he had the best sleep ever and I will continue to use this product every night.
I washed it also with non bio powder and it came out exactly how it went in. Normally eczema vests ect shrink or bobble but this didn’t. I would highly recommend this to anyone. In fact I gave my friend the website details and she purchased the pants and top set for her daughter and said the same thing.

When I first tried using these, my little boy did not want to know. He wasn't interested in the slightest. I tried a lot and he was getting used to them gradually, then I drew paws on them and he loved it. The scratch sleeves are really good and really worth buying. They really stopped him from scratching and gave his skin chance to heal. I absolutely love the scratch sleeves and can't picture not using these now. If your little ones suffer with itchy skin, I fully recommend the scratch sleeves. They come in a range of sizes too, so as little one grows, you can buy bigger ones. This item really deserves the 5 star rating, I'd even give higher if it was possible!!

Love the scratch sleeves. My 10 month old was constantly scratching his face and ears. His nails grow so quickly he was left covered in scratches on a regular basis, particularly at night. I tried everything I could to protect him, the scratch mitts would just be pulled off, and the built in scratch mitts he would work his way out of or suck to the point his hands would be soggy underneath.
These scratch mitts are wonderful, the sleeves are nice and long so he can't pull them off, the material is so lovely and soft against his skin and the silk gloves ensure his skin stays nice and dry underneath, even with having a good suck on them (especially with teething going on). They're easy to put on and take off and don't restrict him in any way, as he is still able to grab things whilst he's wearing them. They're also great for daytime use, in particular, whilst I'm breastfeeding him, as he does tend to grab and scratch whilst he's feeding, which prevents damage to me as well.
The scratch mitts are easy to wash, being machine friendly, with the lightweight material being quick to dry.
My only downside is that the linen edging felt a bit scratchy and stiff, so I was worried this may irritate my baby's skin, but it hasn't done up to now and I'm hoping this may soften with further washes.
Overall I'd give them 4.5/5, I'd definitely buy them again and wish I'd known about them when my boy was younger!

I must admit I was a bit sceptical when I got the product thinking what difference will it make but it sure proved me wrong - it made a whole world of difference.
As soon as I got it I had my son try it (just before he was ready for bed so it's not so alien when I'm asking him to go to bed with it on). I noticed straight away that rather than him scratching and having marks from nails etc it was like a rubbing sensation with the silk sleeves. Thanks for providing 2 as was able to use the other when one was in the wash and they dried quickly too.
He slept through and on occasions when he woke I wasn't perturbed as I knew he was protected. The arms were not exposed so as well as out of sight for scratching it also kept him warm too.
The soft cotton material was gentle on his skin and allowed the skin to breathe. This really gave me peace of mind at night time as I knew no more damage was being done to his skin if he scratched.

What a revolution and innovative idea Scratch Sleeves have come up with. This product is amazing. I think it can help so many children suffering from symptoms such as eczema, dry skin, pulling hair, sucking thumbs and various other problems that can cause serious stress and sleepless nights. I love them. I have been using them for around a couple of months now, I have to say it was so easy getting my little one to keep them on, especially when he is very fidgety. I found that just being persistent and keeping the hands covered at all times paid off. They are certainly not easy for a child of 7-8 months to get them off. He has now got used to the fact that he has to wear them. He had a bad habit of sucking his thumb and scratching his skin, he did seem a little frustrated at first but I have noticed that the scratch sleeves have stopped him from continuing with these habits. They have been washed so many times, they're very durable, haven't lost their colour, shape or look, they still look as good as new. The material is so soft and feels great against the skin. The silk on the mitts really helps to stop him from making his skin condition any worse. I highly recommend the scratch sleeves to be used by parents as early as possible, to get your child used to them. They are the perfect product for any early signs of skin conditions, or even even if a baby has the habit of pulling his or her own hair, sucking thumb, and even just accidentally scratching themselves in the face or you for that matter. I know some children can even grow out of suffering from skin conditions, if dealt with early enough and appropriately.

I first found out about Scratch Sleeves when I was reviewing products to help with eczema for baby's and toddlers for my website. When I heard that Chickenpox was making the rounds around my little boy's nursery, I remembered the site and ordered a pair of midnight blue ones for him. They arrived within a couple of days and I was impressed with the quality. I'll be honest, I first thought he'd never wear them as he sucks his thumbs but on day 2 when the itching really started he put them on and happily wore them. Nighttime was a problem with them to start with so I took a pair of scissors and made a hole for his thumbs to come through - he was happy and so was I. He could scratch without doing any damage and we both got some sleep.
I highly recommend them to any parent with a child that has Chickenpox and would award them a 5/5
