Vaginal dryness is a common condition that will affect many women at some point in their lives. Many women experience vaginal dryness during the menopause. However, women may also suffer from the condition when starting a hormone based contraception, using tampons for the first time, and during pregnancy and breast feeding due to reduced oestrogen levels. Additionally, health conditions such as diabetes, bladder and incontinence problems or reactions to drug therapies like Tamoxifen and Anastrozole used in cancer treatment can contribute to vaginal dryness.

I found the Sylk product to be a high quality product that was very easy to use. It was a product that was as close to natural lubrication as I have used; far better than other lubricants as it wasn't thick and sticky and didn't feel very cold like other products.

It was easy to dispense and the bottle is a very handy, discreet which makes it easy to store in a handbag or bedside drawer.

The product felt ok on the fingertips and was easy to use. A little went a long way. Lubrication was increased and enhanced in a very natural way that ensured sex was as comfortable and enjoyable as if it had been with natural lubrication.

The scent of the product was pleasant and unobtrusive so that it enhanced the naturalness of the experience. The fact that the product is made from natural ingredients gives confidence that the body isn't being exposed to harsh chemicals.

I would definitely recommend this product as the best intimate lubricant I have ever used.

I have suffered from vaginal dryness and discomfort since going through the menopause at the age of 38. I have used various products over the years but haven't found "the one".

Sylk is amazing! The texture is so lightweight, it practically turns into water when it touches skin. You would think that it wouldn't work well, but that certainly isn't the case.

At first I thought the bottle was small and wondered about value for money but Sylk is extremely soothing and long lasting. You only need to use a little bit as it goes a long way. Finally I have found a product that is soothing without being sticky. It doesn't have a smell so you really dont know you're using it. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

I was very curious to try Sylk, I had heard it was good, but it exceeded my expectations. The packaging is really attractive, I can happily leave it in a bedroom drawer, and if somebody was getting anything from my drawer or putting away washing, it does not seem glaringly obvious what it is for. I do not really suffer from embarrassment regarding menopause and talking about it, however, some products are really 'in your face' on announcing 'vaginal dryness.' The bottle seems small, but following the suggestion, I used a very small amount two drops is all that is needed.

The Sylk was clear, on my fingers, before applying I noticed a very slight plant-like scent, but other than that no real fragrance. It actually does feel silk-like, not at all wet or thin as imagined, a little runny, but I was inspecting it at this point. I applied as instructed and it felt comfortable, not at all sticky, not overly wet and best of all it did not have a greasy feeling in use. I was impressed with the instant feeling of how my vagina should feel usually, just normal. It gave relief straight away and I used over several times for the review purpose and found that it is easy just to use whenever I felt I needed it.

As a lubricant before sex, it comes into its own, it is less messy, again a few drops and the ease of younger days pre-menopause is achieved. The delicate little bottle makes for a normal, easy and not so embarrassing time just before lovemaking.

I am very impressed with Sylk and will regularly purchase.

Sylk Personal Lubricant has a silky, non-greasy consistency and is easy to apply - one or two drops I find is sufficient to alleviate and soothe the dry sensation in my vaginal area that has been an issue during menopause.

Sylk leaves no residue and is fragrance free, which is important for intimate area use, and my dryness is immediately relieved after application.

As it is a natural product, I feel confident using it as often as needed and have experienced no negative side effects.  One huge bonus is the small, discreet bottle, which is easy to carry in a pocket or handbag.

I think Sylk is a great product that fulfils a very real need and would recommend it to other ladies - it has certainly helped me.

I’m in my mid to late 40’s, and experiencing menopausal symptoms, and vaginal dryness can be an issue for me now and again, especially during my period. In particular, I have some discomfort when inserting tampons, so I thought I’d try this lubricant, and see if it helped.

I used a drop or two, and noticed that a little goes a long way! The product itself is clear, and silky smooth. It was easy to apply to the tip of the tampon, since the bottle is small, with a flip lid. It was simple to use single handedly.

This lubricant certainly made the experience more comfortable without any unwanted feelings of wetness or stickiness. It felt very natural, and I thoroughly recommend it.

As an older lady I tend to wear panty liners all the time, just in case. I find that they seem to remove any moisture I might have causing me to feel uncomfortable and itchy. I’ve used Sylk Intimate Lubricant as a vaginal lubricant and it has been wonderful but also to hydrate all the surrounding areas. I can’t describe the relief I feel.  No more embarrassing wriggling to try to get comfortable or the awful itching just when it’s most inconvenient. I will definitely continue using Sylk on a daily basis.

Sylk Intimate Lubricant really works. It has the right consistency, not at all sticky, so no mess at all. It instantly cures dryness of the intimate area. It keeps dryness away for long enough to complete your job. Not harsh to the skin and need only a small amount per usage. Far better than the similar products available in the market for vaginal dryness. I would highly recommend this product.

I was chosen to test the Sylk Moisturiser and i will give my reasons for giving it a 5* review.

Firstly I am post menopausal and have had a problem with my intimate area for too many years to remember.

Having tried numerous creams either from my G.P or over the counter products, with none of them working and only causing me more irritation to an area that was already sore.

Because I suffer with really sore, dry and split skin all over my intimate area i was over the moon with the results of the Sylk.

The product arrived in a box but inside was a beautiful velvet pouch containing what is now my Miracle Lady Moisturiser.

No chemicals equal no sting or irritation, this is a massive help to my everyday.

The name also says it all because it truly is like silk you don't even realise you've used it due to the texture being so smooth and silky almost water like.

The smell is very pleasant and natural too.

I am pleased to say that I shall be recommending the Sylk product and it will be purchased by myself in future.

I am currently going through the menopause and suffering from vaginal dryness.  I was really pleased to try the sylk intimate moisturiser.  It was very easy to use and no mess.  It was excellent consistency and lovely with being a natural product.  No irritation after use and lasted after use with no after effects.  It was compact with being individual usage and personal with being in the velvet pouch.  Nobody need know you had used.  It certainly helped with the dryness.  IIt is a product that certainly helps and with no additives or perfumes it is perfect for people with many complaints.  Plus something you could buy without having to go to the GP.

I have just used Sylk womens lubricant for the first time and found it to be perfect if you suffer from vaginal dryness/irritation, especially during sex.

Since starting the menopause I have tried several intimate lubricants to no avail as they seemed to either irritate more or wear off quickly but with the all natural Sylk it was the opposite and I am so happy to have found one that works. Before, sex was uncomfortable and not pleasurable but it has helped with the chafing, burning and itching that happened every time so it has definitely helped my sex life, because of that I would rate it 5/5 as it is safe to use too, with no nasty chemicals. I would recommend this product to friends as I was very pleased with the results.

Sylk feels just as its name suggests - it's a silky feeling moisturising gel that provides instant relief to vaginal dryness.

It ticks every possible 'box' - from the outer packaging to the inner contents:

The box has a nice neutral appearance (neither 'medical' nor embarrassingly 'sexual') and the 7 single use applicators are held in a neat, discreet drawstring bag.

The applicators are well designed with an easy snap-off top and are easy to use, providing instant soothing to sensitive tissue.

Best of all the dryness-relieving clear gel has no stickiness or perfume, and is stain free.

Sylk is a quality product, and provides effective long lasting relief to women with a variety of intimate needs since it is safe to use with tampons or condoms, and during pregnancy. or with condoms.

I have never tried any lubricants before and having become slightly menopausal have found I suffer more from dryness and soreness than before.  I was pleased to be trying a natural product which is plant based, thereby not containing any nasty chemicals.  The product wasn’t at all sticky, doesn’t smell and lasts for several hours.  It made being intimate much easier and more pleasurable.

I liked the fact that this came in single applicators (however there may have been a little too much in each) and the little bag that came with the product makes it discreet to carry around.

I used the product for about 3 days and then gave it up. Upon initial opening of the packaging, I found the product to be somewhat uncomfortable to apply. Personally, I did not like the hard, plastic applicator. I also found the single dose application to be too much in one go. Although the instructions said it could be applied from a standing position, this advice was definitely NOT suitable. This is because the moisturiser was far to runny in consistency and necessitated the use of sanitary panty liners for the rest of the day.

Because of the runny consistency of the lotion, it served no purpose at all for me, and I definitely would not purchase it.

After trying lots of different lubricants to help alleviate my vaginal dryness since reaching the menopause I only wish that I had discovered Sylk sooner.

The product itself feels very natural – not sticky at all as I have found with other lubricants, no nasty smell and only a small amount is needed (I think 3ml would have been sufficient for myself so perhaps smaller applications could also be made available). I often suffer with sensitivity to new products but I have had no adverse reaction to this product to date. The instructions are clear and the product is easy to use. I especially liked the individual packaging and that it also came with a plain cloth bag so perfect for discreet travelling.  I would definitely recommend this product.

The outer packaging on the Sylk natural intimate moisturiser is fairly innocuous and wouldn’t draw inquisitive eyes to it. Inside the box is a plain cloth bag which if you prefer, you can use to keep your single use applicators discreetly in, particularly if you are travelling.

The box contains seven single use applications, with minimal instructions on how to use. It certainly does not tell you that you need to break the seal on each individual applicator before use, which I think is a big oversight on the manufacturers part. The first time I tried to use this product I was messing around for ages trying to figure out how to get the product out of the applicator; eventually realising that you snap off the end, which is small and fiddly and potentially for an older person this could prove quite difficult.  I also found when inserting the product the snap off part can be quite sharp.

However the product itself does feel very natural and is considerably lubricating with each applicator containing 5ml of product. I think it is fair to say that not everyone will need to use the full contents of each phial as too much product can leave you very wet and uncomfortable.

It is non staining, washes away easily and now that I am familiar with how to apply the product and the amount of product to use yes I would recommend this product.
