If you have psoriasis, you may be surprised to learn that it is linked to a range of other conditions, also known as comorbidities, such as psoriatic arthritis (a form of arthritis), depression, and inflammatory conditions including diabetes and heart disease. Psoriatic arthritis, for example, affects around one-third of people with psoriasis and can lead to lasting damage to joints and bones.
It’s, therefore, really important to get diagnosed as soon as possible if you are experiencing symptoms other than those associated directly with your psoriasis (eg redness of your skin, itching) and to get your psoriasis adequately treated in order to reduce the incidence of comorbidities.
If you have a diagnosis for psoriasis, we’d like to understand if you also have any other health issues. We are always looking at new ways to help you and whilst we have a free support programme for psoriasis, called mypsoraisis, we are keen to develop new programmes that can support you with self-management of other conditions too.
To help us, please answer the following questions by telling us a bit more about your psoriasis and about other conditions you may be living with.
