Clinical experts were available to answer questions about issues surrounding hay fever and environmental allergies, symptoms and treatments and to provide you with valuable help and guidance.

Action Against Allergy provides information, advice and support to those made chronically ill through the many different forms of allergy and those who care for them. Campaigning for expert diagnosis and treatment to be available to all through the National Health Service.

Their ‘Find a Doctor’ service provides personalised advice on the nearest allergy specialist and membership benefits include an informative journal three times a year. In addition, information packs and leaflets covering the whole spectrum of allergy-related illness are available.

Allergy Academy is an initiative of King's College London and was formed as a response to the shortcomings in

Allergy education highlighted by the House of Lords report into UK Allergy Services.

The aim of the Academy is to deliver high quality educational opportunities and provide a broad based,

comprehensive programme that will serve the full range of people who are currently
demanding it – patients, parents, nurses, dieticians, general and specialist physicians.

The Academy programme is focused on offering practical courses which will help develop the practice of the large number of different health care professionals who deal with allergic patients every day

Thank you to everyone who took part in what was a lively and informative event.
