Dr Black is currently a senior specialty registrar and clinical research fellow in gastroenterology at The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. After qualifying from Newcastle University, he has completed his specialty training to date in the South West and Yorkshire regions. He has wide ranging experience in general and acute gastroenterology and is an independent endoscopist who performs diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy and colonoscopy. He is currently undertaking an MD conducting research in the diagnosis of irritable bowel syndrome and functional gastrointestinal disorders
