Dr Claire Mansfield
Chartered Counselling Psychologist - CPsychol, PsychD, MA, BSc
Dr Mansfield is a Chartered Counselling Psychologist with a professional doctorate degree in counselling psychology, a masters degree in cultural analysis and an undergraduate degree in psychology. She has trained in many models of psychotherapy including cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, person centred therapy, compassion focused therapy, and mentalization based treatment (MBT). She also provides clinical supervision and consultation to trainee psychologists and other health care professionals.
Dr Mansfield is experienced in working with individuals with a wide range of personal and emotional difficulties and works collaboratively with patients to bring resolution, insight and change. She is experienced in a wide range of mental health difficulties including anxiety, depression, stress, chronic illness, trauma, relationship difficulties and personality disorders. Dr Mansfield has a special interest in the overlap between physical and mental health, with many physical health difficulties contributing to, or relating to, mental health difficulties.
Dr Mansfield shares her time between her private therapy clinic based in Berkhamsted, and working as a psychologist within the NHS with adults with complex and enduring mental health difficulties.
