Sue Luscombe is a Specialist Dietitian, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), with over 30 years experience working in the NHS.
Sue started her career in London before moving to Bedfordshire in 1989, and she has worked in a wide variety of clinical and management roles in the NHS. Over the last 10 years Sue has specialised in helping those with CFS/ME, after her then teenage daughter was diagnosed with the condition. She has her own Nutrition Consultancy Business, Hampden Health Limited. She also contributes to Vitality 360, a team of specialist therapists working nationally in fatigue and pain conditions under the leadership of founding director Jessica Bavinton. Sue is trained to use The Low FODMAP diet to reduce functional bowel symptoms - a new evidence-based dietary approach. She completed a postgraduate allergy diploma in 2006.
Sue is the Dietetic representative on BACME, (British Association of CFS/ME). She is a member of the British Dietetic Association, and Food Allergy & Intolerance Group and Dietitians Group of the BDA. She is the Dietetic Advisor for the Association of Young People with ME (AYME) and also regularly takes part on the expert panel for the Question Time ME Association annual event. She has also written widely on food issues with CFS/ME, including a Food facts sheet available on the BDA website. Sue is much in demand to lead diet workshops nationwide, including at the next BACME conference in October. She was invited to give a presentation in June at a CFS Study day at Barts Hospital to specialists working in the CFS field.
