Health Check Shop®

Health Check Shop® is the consumer division of JR Biomedical Ltd which supplies the NHS, university research departments and pharmacies with medical diagnostics. Our Gluten Sensitivity Test (RSP £19.99) is a simple and reliable way for anyone to check at home whether they have coeliac disease, which affects around 1 in 100 people and is easily confused with the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The home test kit takes just 5 minutes and provides a result as reliable as a hospital test. All our consumer medical tests are CE certified for self test use and meet all UK regulatory requirements and international standards.

Action Against Allergy

Action Against Allergy provides information, advice and support to those made chronically ill through the many different forms of allergy and those who care for them.

A national charity founded in 1978, it campaigns for expert diagnosis and treatment to be available to all through the National Health Service and raises funds for vital research into the causes and treatment of allergic illness. Their ‘Find a Doctor’ service provides personalised advice on the nearest allergy specialist and membership benefits include an informative journal three times a year. In addition, information packs and leaflets covering the whole spectrum of allergy-related illness are available.

Bowel & Cancer Research

Bowel & Cancer Research looks forward to a day when no one will die of bowel cancer or have to live with chronic bowel disease.

To bring this day closer, we invest in the best science across the UK and encourage our next generation of research experts by supporting a dedicated PhD studentship programme. We believe that we make research better when we involve the public in all its aspects, so we have a unique programme to make this happen called People and Research Together, or PaRT.

We want to support people who live with bowel conditions and educate the public about what it's like to live with a chronic bowel condition, so we run engaging campaigns aimed at challenging enduring myths and taboos.
