Some of the keys points to note from the IFAP (Independent Federation of Psoriasis Associations):

• People who get psoriasis exhibit a wide range of symptoms that vary in severity.
• There is no cure for psoriasis or psoriatic arthritis.
• People may have very strong emotional reactions to having psoriasis, such as embarrassment, anger or sadness.
• Sometimes people who have psoriasis are ridiculed or avoided by others because of their psoriasis. Educating people about psoriasis can help manage this aspect of the disease.
• People need support to help them cope with living with psoriasis.

talkpsoriasis aims to be a key organisation in offering such support. We do this through providing trusted information from highly respected organisations such as NHS Choices and leading UK charities, and offering companies with products, services and treatments for psoriasis an opportunity to share with you what is new and available to help with the condition.

Being able to easily discuss with others in a similar situation is key to any support.
