National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society

The National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society is the UK 's only patient-led organisation focussing specifically on rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). NRAS offers support, information, education and advocacy for people living with RA and JIA, their families and their health professionals.

Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) affects approximately 400,000 people in the UK and there are 12,000 children and young people living with JIA.

The Society provides information and support through our free publications, free-phone helpline 0800 298 7650, peer to peer telephone support and patient groups across the UK, online patient forums and websites www.nras.org.uk and www.jia.org.uk

We support health care professionals by delivering high quality education, and resources and supplying free publications and packs to give to their patients. We raise awareness of key issues that matter to people with politicians and policy-makers, and campaign for better quality of life for people living with RA and JIA with improved access to best services and treatments.
