Pizza Lady was on fine form today during group! I thought for one moment that myself and my consultant would have to remove ourselves from the room in order to compose…

In a nutshell, the raffle prize in group were the ingredients for stuffed peppers, which included grated cheese for the top of them. At the point in which grated cheese was mentioned, Pizza Lady piped up, “You can use that cheese on top of those pizza bases too.” At which point I smiled and glanced at my consultant who was doing her absolute best not to start laughing! For new readers, ‘Pizza Lady’ is a woman in my group who is obsessed with pizza it seems, yet does not seem to accept that pizza is high in syns, and that the bulk of the syns are in the base / bread. So my consultant said, “Yes, you can, but the base needs synning.” The response was a very vacant, “Oh, right”…despite having been told this on numerous occasions, hence me christening her Pizza Lady.

However, Pizza Lady is my mate and I won’t hear a word against her. She brightens up my Tuesday with her unintentionally amusing remarks and group would not be the same place without her. I have told her that I write about her…but as per the pizza syns, I don’t think this information sunk in either! ;-) My consultant then went on to ask me how I make my pizzas, in a bid to convince Pizza Lady that they could be made with a WW wholemeal pitta as a base which can be used as a healthy extra. I also have a sneaky feeling that she wanted me to talk so that she could contain her emotions. She reads my blog and is well aware of my nickname for this wonderful lady!

Other than this, my favourite man in group – well, the only man now in my group – hit his target today. He also came away with the raffle prize and Slimmer of the Week – so it was a real haul for him. I was thrilled. He is a lovely chap who initially only came to group to support his wife. He then decided to join at Christmas and has really benefitted health-wise from his weight loss. I could not have been more happy for him.

My group is rather small, and only a handful of people stay. This makes it nice and supportive and we all know each other fairly well. When the Woman of the Year nomination for group was discussed this week, Pizza Lady said, “We all know who will get that!”. And so it was confirmed that I had been the only nomination from the group…along with the chap I mentioned! He said that he will put his posh frock on and compete with me next week! What really touched me though was that people were so pleased for me – and even more touching was that apparently people from my consultants other groups have also asked if they can nominate me. I ended up getting a little teary…I know that I am the one who has to do the hard work, but the support of my consultant, her hubby, and the group has helped me more than they will ever know.

When my loss was read out – which this week was 3.5lbs…taking my total loss to 14st 13lbs – one of the ladies, who I have nicknamed ‘Gangsta Grannie’, said, “Another pound and you will have lost me!” This put my loss into context for me, as I couldn’t imagine carrying her around with me all day. My response was, “Yes, and I still have another you, plus a bit more, to go!” One step at a time though.

So a great group, followed by a lovely day. My Facebook page and Twitter has been full of support today…it really is overwhelming. I envisage having a target party and inviting everyone to help me celebrate as their support really does spur me on…although I might not offer a free bar as my ‘likes’ keep growing and it would bankrupt me! ;-)

I am currently arranging a second day of Jessie Pavelka events…on the morning of Tuesday 3rd September…which is causing me headaches. Lovely headaches, as I really want to help people meet someone who can give them a boost – I know that I am going to benefit from meeting him, and it raises money for HOOP too, which is fabulous. But I just worry that I won’t be able to pull it all together and that I will have to let people down. My Saturday event is over-subscribed and so I am trying to juggle to please everyone! The five of us will be having a group training session, a 121 advice session, a picnic and a general Q&A session with him…in my opinion it is well worth the money – especially as it goes to charity, but I also appreciate that it is a stretch. I just wish I could arrange for everyone to get an injection of motivation to help get them to their goal.

Other than this, my day has been quiet – apart from a visit to my sisters house which was hectic. She was trying to build a toybox, whilst both children tried to ‘help’ and she was about to lose the plot! I tried to distract them, so my nephew decided that he was building me a house – that I was to share with Daddy Pig from ‘Peppa Pig’…it was a lovely cardboard affair! My other half then visited and took all of the attention away from me, as they adore him.

Breakfast: Banana.

20130806-203618.jpgLunch: Mixed beans and veggies on toast (2 x HEB).

20130806-203735.jpgDinner: Quorn red onion burger, mini roasties, and broccoli and cauliflower with LowLow (2 x HEA).

20130806-204140.jpgSnacks: French Fries (24 syns) and strawberries.

20130806-214310.jpgA lovely food day! My lunch was a bit of a mixture – mixed beans with spinach, onion, tomatoes and courgette, with my toast…I just threw it together and it tasted great. I have been having cravings for broccoli – yes, that is correct, broccoli! Never in my life would I have thought that broccoli would be a craving. I listened to my body and decided that I would make a cheats broccoli and cauliflower cheese – with just my LowLow melted cheese drizzled on top – and it was delicious. I had this with Quorn burgers and mini roasties.

Exercise: Nothing today…but watch this space tomorrow! ;-)

Thank you so much for reading, and I hope that the scales give you the results that you deserve this week…

Weight Loss Bitch xxx

WeightLossBitch

On a health and fitness driven journey to lose over 32st / 448lbs / 203kgs – yes, it is a considerable amount – I am committed to losing my excess weight without the aid of weight loss surgery, diet pills, or quick fixes…as there aren’t any! Changing my eating habits and building up my fitness levels, along with addressing the ‘head issues’ will be crucial in order for me to achieve my goal. Living in England as a 31 year old super morbidly obese woman can be challenging to say the least. I have been shouted at in the street and verbally abused far too many times to mention; hence the name ‘Weight Loss Bitch’…the day I am just called a ‘bitch’ instead of a ‘fat bitch’ will be the day that I know I have cracked my weight loss! With many reasons to lose this weight I am documenting my journey for a number of reasons. Firstly, I would like to keep a record of the ups and downs, the highs and lows, and the challenges I face with such an enormous task to tackle. Secondly, I would also like to inspire and encourage other people who are in a similar situation and to show them that significant amounts of weight can be lost naturally…with a bit of motivation, hard work, dedication and will power. Thirdly, all of the blogging, Facebook-ing, Tweet-ing, Pinterest-ing and YouTube-ing keeps me occupied and keeps my fingers out of the fridge!
