What a day…

31 Aug 2013

I am shattered…but so bloody pleased! My Jessie event went really well…I have had text messages from the ladies saying what a great time they had – how motivated and inspired they feel.

For me, this is what today was about. I wanted to get a boost, but wanted to let people share that!

I am so tired…and keep making typos…so I am just going to do a very brief post tonight and will update you all tomorrow.

My morning was really hectic and I have lost all of my weight loss certificates and notes from my consultant…and some of my ‘before’ pics. I couldn’t find them anywhere and I was panicking as I had said that I would take them with me today…but also because they are an important part of my journey and I am gutted that they have gone. I have no idea where they are…I turned the house upside down but can’t find them. I hope that they surface soon!

So I finished off prepping the food, showering – I have to admit to straightening my hair! – and loading the car with exercise equipment and aforementioned food! We had to make a quick stop at Asda for salad dressings as I had forgotten these…and no picnic is complete without a bit of dressing!

When I arrived at the yard, my Dad turned up to help me rig up my lighting…I stupidly hadn’t thought about this and suddenly realised that it now gets dark at 8pm…when we weren’t due to finish until 9pm. He also helped me fix my parasol which the horses had destroyed in the night.

The ladies then started arriving…a lovely bloody bunch of characters they were too! It was fabulous to meet them, and I am looking forward to keeping in touch. We had a couple of hours together before I went and collected Jessie and Jill from the station, and it was great to get the chance to bond a little before it all got started…it made us feel a bit more comfortable I think.

And then it began – Jessie instantly put everyone at ease and we had a fab time. I promise that I will fill you in tomorrow about the details…needless to say we had lots of fun, lots of sweat (well, I sweated lots!), lots of laughter and some tears too – an emotional, inspirational and motivational evening.

An evening which was topped off in chaos…my car keys went missing! After a long search in the dark, I decided to check with my sister who had been helping at the event…to find that she had put them in her handbag to keep them safe! So I waited for her to bring them back and got home about 10.45pm…I am sooooo tired and will have the best night of sleep in a long while I think.

Breakfast: Porridge with blackberries and banana (6.5 syns).

20130831-231203.jpgLunch: Veggie cheese toasties with tikka chicken (2 x HEA and 2 x HEB).

20130831-231400.jpgDinner: Chicken with tomatoes, beetroot salad and roast butternut squash and carrot mash.

20130831-231803.jpgSnacks: None today!

My food today has been quick and simple – my usual porridge brekkie, followed my some veggie toasties – tomato, mushrooms, spinach and cheese, with some tikka chicken. My food for the event was lovely…I decided to mix some roasted butternut squash with carrots and black pepper, and it was rather nice. I have plenty of leftovers so I can have more tomorrow! ;-)

Exercise: Wowzers…a small circuit and a ‘cool-down’ walk that was more of a workout for me!

Today has shown me that I need to mix up my exercise…the circuit was tough for me – the others seemed to do well enough. Jessie had to pour water over my neck at one point as I had gone purple! My treadmill is easy compared to circuits…I thought that I was getting pretty fit, but this quashed that thought! ;-)

Thank you for reading…and I promise that I will update properly tomorrow!

Weight Loss Bitch xxx

WeightLossBitch

On a health and fitness driven journey to lose over 32st / 448lbs / 203kgs – yes, it is a considerable amount – I am committed to losing my excess weight without the aid of weight loss surgery, diet pills, or quick fixes…as there aren’t any! Changing my eating habits and building up my fitness levels, along with addressing the ‘head issues’ will be crucial in order for me to achieve my goal. Living in England as a 31 year old super morbidly obese woman can be challenging to say the least. I have been shouted at in the street and verbally abused far too many times to mention; hence the name ‘Weight Loss Bitch’…the day I am just called a ‘bitch’ instead of a ‘fat bitch’ will be the day that I know I have cracked my weight loss! With many reasons to lose this weight I am documenting my journey for a number of reasons. Firstly, I would like to keep a record of the ups and downs, the highs and lows, and the challenges I face with such an enormous task to tackle. Secondly, I would also like to inspire and encourage other people who are in a similar situation and to show them that significant amounts of weight can be lost naturally…with a bit of motivation, hard work, dedication and will power. Thirdly, all of the blogging, Facebook-ing, Tweet-ing, Pinterest-ing and YouTube-ing keeps me occupied and keeps my fingers out of the fridge!
