Merry Christmas!

25 Dec 2013

Well, what can I say about today?! It has been fabulous and I was obviously on Santa’s ‘Very Good’ list! :-)

I have to admit that Mr WLB and I were rather naughty…we were so excited that we couldn’t wait and ended up opening our presents last night! In fact, he was far naughtier than I – he had to confess that he had rummaged through his bag of presents and shook them all in order to find one particular pressie…a Fifa game that he sneakily opened weeks ago and has been playing whenever I have left him on his own for a few hours! Cheeky monkey!

My first haul was amazing…

20131225-115546.jpgI got the Polar heart-rate monitor I was after, along with some Sennheiser headphones that you can wash…great for sweaty gym ears! Books, chocolate, smellies…and my gorgeous necklace. This made me chuckle, as this was the present that he had engraved for me…but mixed up the dates…so we met a year earlier than we did according to the necklace! It is of two peas in a pod – and our nickname for each other is ‘Pea’ – so I think it’s rather sweet. As for the date cock-up…that’s just us all over, so I might get a local engraver to just cross the year out and put the right one after it…for comedy value! :-)

We woke up early – well, I woke up at 11.45pm last night feeling incredibly refreshed after just 45 minutes of sleep and spent the next four hours on the Internet as I couldn’t sleep. I was then woken by a text from my ‘always over-excited at Christmas’ Dad…at 5.30am! So we got up early, showered, breakfasted and then headed down to my sisters house to see my niece and nephew who were so excited!

20131225-115647.jpgThey then put their Christmas Day outfits on…

20131225-115721.jpgSo cute! They loved their presents and loved seeing the family too…my nephew even used his new doctors kit to try and make me better, and every time I coughed he tried to give me some of his kitbag medicine!

Once the present opening had finished there, we headed back home with my Mum to open some more pressies…and this was my second haul…very spoilt I am!

20131225-115608.jpgSome truly gorgeous and extremely generous gifts. A gorgeous Joey D handbag, posh candles, a lovely horse – two in fact, smellies, PJs, choccies, bracelet…I really have been spoilt this year!

Mum headed over to her house then in order to get cracking with the dinner – which was gorgeous, thank you Mum – whilst Mr WLB and I went to see the horses. They have to have their Christmas dinner too…when I arrived I whistled them and called the name of my Welsh lad…all I could hear was the thundering of hooves as they came over the brow of the hill. It was such a great moment, as last year I was car-bound and not able to do this…next year I am aiming for a Christmas Day ride! :-)

My Welshie enjoying his veggie feast…

20131225-124922.jpgAnd keeping a watchful eye on his pile of sprouts…he’s the only one who likes them, but it doesn’t stop them pretending that they are going in for the kill! ;-)

20131225-125022.jpgMy two big greys who like sharing…

20131225-125056.jpgAnd lastly, but not leastly, my little man with a big attitude enjoying his feast…

20131225-125200.jpgAs I said, it was such a great moment to be with them on Christmas Day…gorgeous weather – bright but very bloody cold! – and it just made me realise how far I have come this year.

We then headed home to collect the old lady down the road. She was chatting all the way to my Mums house and seemed to have a lovely time. She ate a decent dinner and a big bowl of Christmas pudding…got some presents off me and some off Mum too. She was so happy when I saw her home later…heading off to catch up on her soaps! She has agreed to join us tomorrow at my sisters house too…so I am feeling all warm and fuzzy inside knowing that she did not end up spending the day alone.

It was then home for me…and slobbing out for the evening in pyjamas…eating turkey rolls, fruit and crisps – the perfect end to. Perfect day! :-)

Breakfast: Smoked salmon, spinach, cherry tomatoes and scrambled eggs.

20131225-115756.jpgLunch: Roast turkey and all the trimmings…Slimming World style! ;-) (3 syns for the gravy).

20131225-192207.jpgDinner: Turkey rolls, cheese, pepper, tomatoes and fruit with yogurt (HEA and 2 x HEB).

20131225-194919.jpgSnacks: French Fries (12 syns) and fruit.

Exercise: Nil – unless opening presents burns off many calories?! :-)

Thank you for reading – and I hope that you have had a fantastic day,

WeightLossBitch

On a health and fitness driven journey to lose over 32st / 448lbs / 203kgs – yes, it is a considerable amount – I am committed to losing my excess weight without the aid of weight loss surgery, diet pills, or quick fixes…as there aren’t any! Changing my eating habits and building up my fitness levels, along with addressing the ‘head issues’ will be crucial in order for me to achieve my goal. Living in England as a 31 year old super morbidly obese woman can be challenging to say the least. I have been shouted at in the street and verbally abused far too many times to mention; hence the name ‘Weight Loss Bitch’…the day I am just called a ‘bitch’ instead of a ‘fat bitch’ will be the day that I know I have cracked my weight loss! With many reasons to lose this weight I am documenting my journey for a number of reasons. Firstly, I would like to keep a record of the ups and downs, the highs and lows, and the challenges I face with such an enormous task to tackle. Secondly, I would also like to inspire and encourage other people who are in a similar situation and to show them that significant amounts of weight can be lost naturally…with a bit of motivation, hard work, dedication and will power. Thirdly, all of the blogging, Facebook-ing, Tweet-ing, Pinterest-ing and YouTube-ing keeps me occupied and keeps my fingers out of the fridge!
