Lambeth and Southwark Mind


Lambeth and Southwark Mind is a local mind that provides free mental services for the community. 

They are a small organisation, with a strong self- or mutual-help ethos. Lambeth and Southwark Mind is run by people with experience in using or receiving mental health services of various kinds.  Their main objective is to work for the well-being of people experiencing any kind of mental distress by providing information, advice and support.

Their main service is a confidential telephone helpline for people in the boroughs of Lambeth and Southwark. They cover all kinds of issues of concern to people using mental health services or experiencing distress, their families and friends, mental health professionals, etc. They offer information on subjects such as counselling, self-help groups, local services, national groups, psychiatric medication, legal rights, mental health advocacy, welfare benefits etc. They also provide free mental health groups for the community to ensure they get the best support possible.

Lambeth and Southwark Mind receive no government funding and rely on donations.
