LGBT Foundation

Based in Manchester, LGBT Foundation is a nationally significant charity, which serves over 40,000 lesbian, gay and bisexual people a year.

Our services and activities include: a range of support groups; face-to-face counseling; a helpline; email and pop-in service; a befriending scheme; anti-homophobia projects in schools; a substance misuse project; organisational training; a regional magazine (outnorthwest); a range of guides and resources; advice surgeries; LGB&T infrastructure support; various research projects and policy campaigning.

We provide a sexual health programme which includes a range of clinical services offering testing for HIV and other STIs. We also offer a long-running condom and lube distribution scheme – one of the largest in the UK.

The LGBT Foundation provides more direct services and resources to more lesbian, gay and bisexual people than any other charity of our kind in the UK.

Our vision is of a fair and equal society where all lesbian, gay and bisexual people can achieve their full potential, and our mission is: ‘Ending Homophobia, Empowering People’.

Our helpline can be accessed by calling 0845 3 30 30 30, 10am-10pm every day.
