Dr Derrick Phillips
Dr Derrick Phillips is a Consultant Dermatologist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and the Cadogan Clinic, London.
Dr Phillips is a general dermatologist, with expertise in inflammatory skin conditions (such as eczema, psoriasis and acne), and the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer.
Dr Phillips studied medicine and undertook an intercalated BSc degree in Medical Physics and Bioengineering at UCL Medical School. He achieved a double merit award in the former and first-class honours in the latter.
His interest in Dermatology was first ignited whilst working as a junior doctor at the Royal Free Hospital in North London. During this period, he won the prestigious St John’s Institute of Dermatology registrar prize for an oral presentation. Dr Phillips completed his general medical training in London and New South Wales, Australia, before embarking on Dermatology training in Liverpool.
Dr Phillips holds membership the British Association of Dermatologists (BAD), the North of England Dermatology Society (NEDS), British Society for Dermatological Surgery (BSDS), British Society for Medical Dermatology (BSMD) and the Royal College of Physicians (RCP). He is actively involved in research and has presented at national and international conferences. He has published in peer reviewed journals, online magazines and in a national newspaper.
