Dr Penelope Pratsou
Dr Penelope Pratsou is a consultant dermatologist and founder of Dr Pratsou Dermatology, a private dermatology practice in Berkshire, which specialises in all things skin.
In her 11 years as a dermatologist, she has treated over 25,000 skin patients, with common skin conditions such as acne, rosacea, eczema, and psoriasis, as well as rare and complex dermatological issues, skin cancer and other skin lesions. She is a trained skin surgeon and a member of the Thames Valley skin cancer multidisciplinary team.
She undertook her undergraduate medical training at the University of Sheffield. Having obtained her membership of the Royal College of Physicians, she joined the West Midlands Specialist Registrar rotation in Dermatology in 2010, obtaining her Certificate of Completion of Training in 2014. She was appointed as a substantive dermatology consultant at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Berkshire, in 2014, and has focused solely on her busy private dermatology practice since 2018. She has been made a Fellow of The Royal College of Physicians for her achievements in medicine.
She has presented widely both nationally and internationally, authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and has experience in teaching dermatology at an undergraduate and postgraduate level. Her interests include acne, rosacea, treatment of skin lesions including moles and skin cancer, and skin allergy.
