Sean Kehoe

Sean Kehoe is Lawson-Tait Professor of Gynaecological Cancer, University of Birmingham and Senior Research Fellow St.Peters College Oxford.

Qualified from Trinity College Dublin and then undertook various posts in Ireland to achieve MRCOG. Moved to the UK and commenced research into ovarian cancer at Birmingham University followed by a Lectureship and RCOG sub-speciality Training in Gynaecological Oncology. Appointed Senior Lecturer in Birmingham and in 2002 elected Foundation Professor of Gynaecological Cancer, University of Oxford, and Fellow of St.Peters College. Developed the Oxford Gynaecological Cancer Centre serving the population of the Thames Valley Region, and in 2012 was elected to the Lawson-Tait Chair of Gynaecological Cancer, Birmingham. Has published widely on gynaecological cancers/pre-cancers, with major research interests in ovarian cancer and clinical trials. President of the British Gynaecological Cancer Society, on Editorial Board of BJOG, and previously of many other journals. Lectures regularly at National and International meetings. .
