Expert Clinic - Life after prostate surgery
The Urology Foundation and talkhealth are teaming up to offer our community a chance to put their questions to urology experts on what you can expect from life post prostate surgery.
The Urology Foundation and talkhealth are teaming up to offer our community a chance to put their questions to urology experts on what you can expect from life post prostate surgery. Because of the prostate’s delicate position in the body, prostate surgery can lead to problems with erectile dysfunction or urinary incontinence, issues that can affect a patient’s relationship, quality of life and mindset.
We are being joined by two experts in the field, consultant urologist Arun Sahai and Lorraine Grover, a psychosexual nurse specialist. Both believe that men should be given support to get back to a normal life, rather than just living with the effects of prostate surgery. They will be answering your questions on Thursday 1 July but the clinic will be open from Monday 28 June for you to post your questions in advance.
The Urology Foundation
The Urology Foundation is the only UK charity committed to ending the suffering caused by all urology disease so people can live their lives well. We work to ensure that those with a cancer or condition of the kidney, bladder, prostate or male reproductive organs can have access to the best patient care and the very latest treatments. We do this through investment in urology research and specialist urologist and nurse training to achieve our mission of increasing the survival prospects and quality of life for urology patients and, one day, to cure all urology diseases.
