Yes. Screening is offered to all women and people with a cervix aged 25 to 64 years unless someone has a recent abnormal result and then will be called beyond the age of 65 years.

Screening is offered to all women and people with a cervix aged 25 to 66 years unless they have any recent abnormal results then they will be called beyond the age of 65 years.

It depends on the age. Smear test is offered to all women and people with a cervix aged 25 to 64 years. Dear Karen, gynaecologists and specialist nurses have access to different sizes of speculums. Sometimes we may initially use an average size but if it cannot be tolerated then we try a smaller one or in some cases we may need a bigger one.

In the UK, cervical screening (regular smear test) is recommended to women aged 25 to 64 years (provided that they have a cervix and not any specific reasons to prolong the duration of screening).

Women should have access to as many information as they are likely to handle. Evidence based information delivered in a lay way empowers women to make their own choices. Absolutely not. Some women find the smear test more uncomfortable than others because we all have different thresholds of pain, but none of your conditions are related with more painful smears.
