So this process is still being refined and not ready for roll out yet.

Can we suggest you talk with your GP re referring you to clinical psychology services to help you find tactics / coping mechanisms to deal with your physical and emotional needs.

So can we suggest you go back to your GP and ask for referral to gynaecology to see what sort of intervention would suit you best>
Every woman is different and needs a clinical and history and examination to decide what is the best therapeutic option for them.

You make a really good point !
I do think that more cervical screeners are offering a smaller ( often known as virgin speculum ) to women now however.
