Boxer shorts probably aren't going to provide the appropriate support. I understand that the correct technical description is probably "briefs" which should be available from most department stores. I don't think that you need to be spending too much money!

It is unlikely to be anything serious, especially since you can identify no swellings, pain or lumps. However, it would be sensible to get this checked out with your doctor, when you are able.
