Nightmares are so common. You are doing the right thing by talking to her about any worries that she may have. It is important to so this, I would say to do it earlier on in the evening so leaving quite a while before bedtime itself. Also talking about all of the positive things that may have happen...

This is super tricky I agree. Teenagers are desperate to be on their mobile phones and can become really difficult for parents. I'm guessing that she is still using the phone at bedtime? So have you tried asking rather to turn the mobile phone off at a certain time rather than removing all together?...

Firstly, thank you so much for your question. The recommended sleep needs for a 12 year old is between 9-11hrs For your 14 and 17 year old recommended is 8-10 hours.
