Methotrexate can cause a rash but usually rashes caused by medicines are not just on one part of the body such as the chest - they are often on the arms and legs and can look blotchy and feel itchy. Hello Rachel, It sounds as though your arthritis is not under good control. If your medication is working you shouldn't have attacks of joint swelling and pain so it is important that you speak to your rheumatology team so that they can discuss a change of medicines for you. Please don't ignore this...
