Re: Painful intercourse
Dear Heidi, It is difficult to know exactly what is going on but it may be that you are suffering from Vulvodynia (unexplained pain in the vulva), vaginismus may be one element of this. I am not sure if this has every been something which has been mentioned as a possibility, or thought about? Vagini...

Re: Seeking advice for daughter
Dear Liz,
I am sorry that your daughter is experiencing pain.
The causes of pain are so very varied without a full history or examination it is too difficult for me to give any advice on this case. What I would say is that if pain is continuing then please go back and see your GP.

Re: Biopsy
Dear Fiona,
Biopsies can be taken from the cervix or from the endometrium (lining of the womb), so without knowing the full case I am afraid I can't really comment.
What I will say is that I am so sorry that you had a poor experience.

Re: Vaginal Dryness
Frances, I would highly recommend topical oestrogen cream for your vaginal dryness and to team that with vaginal moisturisers. Good brands are Sylk and Yes. Topical oestrogen will not increase your DVT risk or put you at risk of endometrial cancer. The systemic absorption of topical oestrogen is abs...

Re: Anorgasmia
Hi, this is what I posted to a very similar question; Without knowing your age, full medical history and medication it is difficult to give specific advice but, it may well be that you have a medical condition which is interfering with the nerve or blood supply to the clitoris. An example of this ma...

Re: Amenorrhea/Pregnancy
Hi, I am so, so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I can't advise about whether to wait, or have intervention for this as it is a Gynaecological decision (not my speciality). With regards to your periods not returning after coming off contraception; it can be normal not to resume periods after ha...

Re: PCOS, Ovulation
Hi Carly, Sadly if you have an irregular periods due to PCOS it may be totally impossible to predict your cycle. Depending on your reproductive wishes and other medical conditions it may be worth considering hormonal contraceptives to give you some cycle control and to reduce the pain associated wit...
