Diet and then end up heavier than when I started

I have been on and off diets for years – sometimes more successfully than others…. And I always end up heavier than when I started… and therefore over the years gaining more pounds. I know you read all the time this is what happens when you diet – but why? I don’t think I am that bad with my diet ei...

Continually Bloated

For the past 8 months I just seem to find that I'm continually bloated. I've been to see the GP who has said it's IBS and has offered little to no advice. It's really starting to get me down and I'm hoping you might be able to give me some advice. Thank you.

Potentially returning to work

I am suffering with bowel leakage and have MS. I am considering going back to work but am worried about how I might cope. Do you know If someone needs adjustments to be made at work to help them manage (e.g. frequent toilet breaks, desk close to toilets etc) is the employer obliged to make these cha...

Increased fertility after assisted conception

What is it that causes an increase in fertility after having assisted conception? I am told by the midwife that often people fall pregnant naturally after IVF- is this the affect the treatment has on the body, or is it that the body is in a better place to become pregnant once it has had a successfu...

weight loss & menopausal age

I've always battled with my weight within about a stone and a half up or down. At the moment I am really trying hard to lose that stubborn weight, aware I'm getting older and need to start to look after myself and put myself first (kids now flown the nest an all that). But I'm struggling to lose the...

Re: monitoring and measuring weight loss

Hello Deborah - seems like a sensible idea - will look on my Blackberry and see what I can find. I'm eating sensibly but not tracking (whoops there's an old Weight Watchers word creeping in there!). Thanks for the tip.

Re: Tell me more...

Hello Mark - I've always had a problem with my weight and have fluctuated up and down by about 1.5 stone or so over the years. I've made massive adjustments to what I eat and how much I eat and I've lost about 3/4 of a stone. But that's where i'm stuck! Problem is I don't really exercise. What I'm c...
