Re: 50 years old suddenly allergic to all face creams

You're welcome! And so glad that you found something that works. For organic products, do take note of the expiration date. I don't use homemade/organic products as my daughter had reaction after using. We're not sure why - but since she takes well to pharma products, we always use the global brands...

Re: 50 years old suddenly allergic to all face creams

Hi there! Sorry to hear about this! I can think of it being contact dermatitis, whereby the same products continually used overtime can lead to allergy.. that's why some skin experts recommend switching up products.. http://eczemablues.com/2015/05/science-of-skincare-products-eczema-supportive-care/...

Re: bad eczema, Help please

thanks for sharing and I hope your 'bad luck' is over :) Yes, mold and dust mites are top allergens. We wash bedsheet weekly with hot water cycle to kill the dust mites. If it's really bad, can consider getting cheap mattress that can be thrown out every six months/year. Hope things keep improving, ...

Re: bad eczema, Help please

Sorry to hear that.. have to see dermatologist. Sometimes it's bacterial overload which requires taking antibiotics to kill the staph bacteria, and then the skin can heal better. Can be many reasons why it suddenly turned worse and may not necessarily be allergy-related. Happened to my daughter. Ecz...

Re: 18 month baby covered in eczema

I totally understand and get everything that you're saying, including the child being happy but you know that the skin is so wrong. I'm not sure how I can help you because if you're under fantastic doctors' care, then you'd already know the basic skincare and tips. Let me know what other questions y...

Re: Staph infections

Hi there! We wash using an anti-bacterial cleanser, like Octenisan and when we see the persistent rashes despite applying topical cream, we may wipe down the skin with chlorhexidine and then moisturize and wrap with tubifast that's soaked with zinc sulphate (prescribed by dermatologist). Staph is ju...

Re: Too itchy to sleep for almost 6 (long + stressful) years

I'm sorry to hear of the never sleeping! I can totally understand - it felt like we never slept till she's about 4-5 years old.. I tried a few things but I'm not sure if they will work for you: 1. Shower closer to the bedtime & moisturize loads 2. Anti-dust mite everything and all wash in hot wa...

Re: Red skin and eczema

Hi! It's definitely not normal as eczema skin should not be 'burning'.. neither should it be very red.. do see a dermatologist and watch out for fever symptoms which are then possible signs of bacterial infection.. take care!

Re: 10 year eczema sufferer - CURED?!

Thanks for the sharing and this is such good news! And yes, not just for adults, even for young children, doctors usually recommend them to be outdoors, doing some exercise, fresh air. The main reason is that kids are mostly sensitive to dust mites which is pretty much an indoor irritant. And of cou...

Re: Toctino - anyone tried it? I would like to hear from you!

Hope you get better soon! And instead of plastic wrap, may want to consider wrap like Tubifast (and there're other brands as well) to just keep the moisture in longer and can be washed :) Take care!
