Re: Trembles after scratching.. is it normal?

Hi! I haven't heard of that nor had my child experience that.. not sure if it's stress but I think monitor for bacterial infection, and maybe try something like watching sign language video to de-stress and keep the fingers occupied? Helped my kid when she was at age :) Take care.. and I suppose it'...

Re: using chlorhexidine gluconate skin cleanser

Yes! We were recommended to use that when my child was 7 month old. Now at 12yo, she's still using an anti-bacterial cleanser - we use Octenisan now as it's more gentle. But before this, we used to have chlorhexidine on facial wipe and just wipe down the skin to reduce staph bacteria. Great that you...

Re: Dealing with a teenager

So sorry to hear that.. If it's infected (reddish, feels warm or oozing), have to see doc and get antibiotics. Cos the eczema skin is easy to be colonized by staph bacteria, we soak in solution to reduce bacteria on alternate day, and use daily antibacterial wash cleanser. And mild steroid lotion to...

Re: any recommendations for a humidifier UK

Hi! I don't live in the UK but I think it's more of the humidity level than the humidifier.
If too dry, moisture be stripped from skin and too humid, promotes growth of mold.
Somewhere around 50% I think, take care and best to your son!

Re: STARTED AS SMALL RASH IN DEC NOW SPREAD ALL OVER

Sorry to hear that, and your skin needs some treatment. My kid had got impetigo before, and she was given oral antibiotics, which helped to reduce/prevent infection (especially needed if your skin feels tender/warm) and reduce bacterial load. That way, moisturizer and steroid creams help ow there's ...

Re: Eczema or Contact Dermatitis?

Sorry to hear that, it feels like an out of the blue, bad experience with the cream. I hope the rashes don't come back, and if it's the dry skin, moisturizing with a cream with ceramides might help. My daughter sometimes has dry and flaky skin on face, and usually works after using a better cream. W...

Re: Cream after cream!

Sorry to hear that and understand your frustration! An allergy test would be helpful, hope you are able to get an appointment soon. If not, googling for common contact allergens and start eliminating from there might help?

Wishing you the best in 2022!

Re: Does your eczema subside when ill?

Interesting and hope the eczema will continue to subside even after recovery! I noticed in my daughter that when an illness increases temperature, she would scratch more but not if it doesn't. If it's just the hands, it's likely reduced exposure to irritants! Maybe that's a clue to start looking at ...

Re: Need cream suggestions

Hi! Sorry to hear of the eczema flare ups. No miracle recommendation though.. we just use Physiogel AI, QV Intensive.. if it's flare ups, would be better to get a skin prick test and figure out the triggers. The other thing to note would be staph bacteria colonization.. both constant triggers & ...

Re: 50 years old suddenly allergic to all face creams

You're welcome! And so glad that you found something that works. For organic products, do take note of the expiration date. I don't use homemade/organic products as my daughter had reaction after using. We're not sure why - but since she takes well to pharma products, we always use the global brands...
