Re: Head Care Psoriasis
Hi There, Everyone is different and therefore treatments that work for one individual may not work for others, thats why there are often lots of options out there. Ingredients to look for in shampoos for psoriasis include: Tar - this can help irritation an reduce scale build up - e.g. Polytar shampo...

Re: Rosacea ruining my life
Hi There, Although systemic antibiotics have routinely been used for a long time for rosacea, over the last 12 -24 months there has been an increase in topical treatment options for rosacea. From what you describe it may be worthily considering a trial of Mirvaso gel, which can help with the redness...

Re: DRY SCALING REDDY PATCHES ON TOP& SIDE OF LEFT FOOT
Dear Ruthie, it is not uncommon for eczema on the top of the foot. I would firstly try to avoid any irritants such as soap and use Dermol cream as a soap substitute regularly. Dermol contains an antibacterial agent which helps. Adding a topical steroid such as hydrocortisone or eumovate cream would ...

It sounds that you would benefit from a dermatology consultation to discuss your concerns and treatment options in more depth. Ask your GP for a referral to your local dermatologist in the first instance. I hope this helps.

Re: Vitiligo on my face
Hi There,
It is not uncommon for eczema to also co-exist in patches of vitiligo, particularly if the skin is pink and itchy. Regular use of emollients, topical steroids or topical calcineurin inhibitors may be worth trying in addition to cosmetic treatments.
I hope this helps

Re: acne, sensitive skin and cold sores
Hi There, I am not aware of any ingredients that flare cold sores., however products that are very greasy can block pores and can exacerbate acne. If you are having repeated flares of cold sores then you may benefit from discussing with your GP the pros and cons of a low dose of aciclovir orally twi...

Re: A tired and itchy mum!
Hi There, It sounds that you have tried a number of treatments. You are quite rightly thinking of making sure your baby does not get exposed to treatments through breastfeeding. Decisions to consider include whether expressing breastmilk, to minimise contact, is an option for you and your baby? What...

Hi There, It sounds like you are trying all the simple treatments such as maintaining core warmth with long sleeve thermal clothing, double gloves etc. It may be worthwhile seeing your GP to discuss considering medical treatment with calcium channel blocker tablets or even GTN patches, both of which...

Hi There,
It sounds like the best plan would be for your GP to refer you for a consultation with a dermatologist with an interest in 'lymphatic conditions and the skin' such as lipoedema and lymphoedoma.
Best of luck
