Re: Can My Daughter Still Conceive

I agree, there is no reason not to request a referral for IVF sooner rather than later

Re: Thin linning of the womb and border line sperm count.

The lining of the womb may improve when you have gondotrophin injections for IUI, there is no published evidence that Asopirin helps. You are very young, and should give standard treatment a chance fiirst.

Re: low egg reserve

First of all I would like to reassure you that your cycle becoming 27 days now instead of 28 days, is not shorteneing of cycle, but normal variation. I would consider cycles being shortened if you had periods with more than 7 days variation from a previous cycle length. Please do wait for your test ...

Re: Pcos and no treatment?

I appreciate it is very difficult. It is important to have at least 2 to 3 periods is a year. I would suggest you see your doctor to discuss this, as they can give you a tablet to make you have a wthdrawal bleed, just to ensure the lining of the womb does not become too thick. Regarding fertility tr...

Re: Pcos and no treatment?

Hi You appear to have two issues that need to be addressed. First PCOS and absent periods. This means that though your store of eggs is normal, you are not ovulating regularly. Hence your chances of conception are low. In order to induce ovulation, first your weight or BMI has to be optimised (that ...

Re: Family hope for cancer survivor?

Hello, I am very pleased to read that you are in remission, and all is going well. Certainly it should be very straight forward for your GP to refer you to the local tertiary fertlity centre (i.e.e one with an IVF clinic), so that they can discuss your options on an individual basis. To give you an ...

Re: Short Luteal Phase?

Hi Just to add to the discussion, inter menstrual or pre menstrual spotting is not uncommon, and is often difficult to explain or to completely resolve. As you are trying for a pregnancy, we would advice regular intercourse 2-3 times a week, rather thandepend on LH predictor kits, as they are often ...

Re: Shop bought ovulation tests

Hi I would agree completely with the previous comment, as at the age of 40 yrs , time is of the essence her. The store of eggs in the ovaries and Success rates of any fertility treatment that may be offered will decline after the age of 40. Please do see a fertility specialist for advice. BW

Re: Thin linning of the womb and border line sperm count.

Hi, I assume you mean that the lining of the womb is thin-- was that picked up on Ultrasound scan? The importance of thickness of the lining of the womb in spontaneous pregnancy is not clear, though we know it can effect the success rates of IVF treatment. I would not be too concerned at present. I ...

Re: First period after coming off the pill

Hi, I agree with previous comments, it is difficult to predict when periods return after stopping the pill. If you donot resoume periods spontaneously in six months, please do see your GP for a hormone profile to check for FHS, LH Testosterone (to diagnose PCOS) thyroid function and prolaction. bw
