Re: IBS and diverticulosis

Hi Thank you for your question. Neither IBS or diverticulosis can cause weight gain or make it more difficult to lose weight - there is no evidence to suggest this. Although IBS can result in fatigue and tiredness, which may make it more difficult to be motivated to take more exercise, perhaps. Havi...

Re: Diverticulitis

Hi Thank you for your enquiry. I think it is important to know the terminology for diverticular as this can be quite confusing and it is important to know if you have diverticulitis - which is an infection in the pockets of the bowel or diverticular disease, which is where the pockets are in the bow...

Re: Looking for further help

Hi Thank you for your question. If symptoms are worsening as you get older it is worth considering whether you have developed another condition but this would mean that the symptoms should be checked again by your doctor to make sure that they are not caused by something else. Re: Is IBS a condition or weakness that remains with a person throughout life?

Hi Thanks for getting in touch. IBS is a condition where people do experience flare ups and periods of remission and occasionally it can go completely. We would always advise people to see their GP even if they have been diagnosed with IBS for some time if their symptoms change at all. This is reall...
