Hello, You may also find the following links useful. The DWP have an A-Z of medical conditions which DWP staff use when assessing benefit claims. Unfortunately PIP is the replacement benefit for DLA so in those terms there is no alternative but to apply for PIP. Employment and Support Allowance is the benefit for people that are not able to work and DLA/PIP are designed to cover the extra costs that arise from being disabled or having a long ...

Thank-you for your post. As PIP is still a very new benefit we have not had any feedback on claims that people with M.E are making. As you may know PIP has replaced DLA and many people with M.E successfully claimed this (although significant numbers were not successful too or only got it on appeal)....
