Re: Are there any centres where people with M.E. can go and

Hannah Clifton, who I met through an ex-boss (who is now a Trustee of this charity, and frankly without his support I wouldn't have got diagnosed or any treatment for ME/CFS and who with his team bent over backwards to help me stay working on a project with his firm. I am hugely and eternally gratef...

Re: Thank you!

Yes thankyou very much - to everyone.

It's also been interesting to see where the 'holes' in what's known about ME/CFS causes great practical difficulties in deciding how to proceed. I do hope that the concerns raised on all sides will be considered and taken forwards?

Re: Quick, nutritious and low cost

good point about rice being poisonous if not cooled/ kept in fridge & not eaten fast. One needs to be careful. My rice cooker acts as a steamer, so as long as I let it cool fairly soon after cooking, then just put the whole pot + lid in the fridge, it's effectively 'sterilised' environment, so l...

Re: Quick, nutritious and low cost

That's why I like my rice cooker and microwave Housemouse - it's very very hard to get it wrong! I know some people have sensitivities to electrical stuff, so wouldn't consider it. You can get them both from the internet quite cheaply these days, I'd find it really hard without them. I'm considering...

Re: Quick, nutritious and low cost

Since my recent relapse mum & I are trying to find foods that are (1) cheap, (2) last in the fridge in case I don't eat much for a few days, I can't afford to throw food away, (3) energy efficient for me and flexible so I can use them to do something a bit more interesting on a good day, or just...

Re: Taking Vitamin D supplements

My original Vitamins question is now locked (having been answered, thankyou) but on the specific issue of Vitamin D - after your reply Sue, I asked my dad to have a look into Vitamin D for what sort of tablets there are/where to get them. From what he saw on the Net, and the dangers of taking too mu...

Re: Why do we have to be expert patients?

Thanks Mousehouse. It's fortunate the Clinic is this week, because for the last few months (until the anti-depressants kicked in) I wouldn't have been in a fit state to even try joining in. I suspect I will 'boom & bust' this week and return to incoherence next week, but it's worth the payback i...
