Thank you!

I just want to say thank you to everyone who has participated in this clinic....the experts and the other participants too, it has been invaluable to me and I'm sure to many others. Thank you to the experts for your time and knowledge, and most importantly, your willingness to try and help people th...

Re: What are my odds?

Ha ha....great sense of humour...it definitely helps! Don't lose hope though...I was severely ill for several years but have gradually got better....not total recovery yet, but getting there.

Re: Acidic urine/low temperature

No, I haven't discussed it with my GP yet....it takes such a lot of energy to go and I wasn't sure if it was important! What about acidic urine....is that anything to worry about? Thanks for you help and advice!

Re: Further investigations?

Thanks for your response Dr. Shepherd, it would be great to see these lists you mention as I don't feel confident that my GP is overly concerned....I will order a copy of the booklet for myself. That's fantastic that a free copy can also be sent to my GP....how would I go about organising that? Than...

Further investigations?

I've noticed that two papers have been published relatively recently from specialist ME/CFS clinics saying that the mis-diagnosis rate is almost 50%. ("The Newcastle CFS Service - Not All Fatigue Is The Same" 2010 J R Coll Physicians Edinburgh 40:304-7, and "Alternative Diagnoses to C...

Re: Is it normal in m e for your speech to change

Ditto....my GP has never been overly interested in these weird (and frankly sometimes quite disturbing!) symptoms. I have never even been referred to a neurologist or any other specialist despite 15 years of illness, sometimes quite profound. I get the feeling that if I went to GP with slurred speec...

Re: Is it normal in m e for your speech to change

Yeah, I used to have speech problems....sometimes people thought I was drunk as my speech was so slurred. It got better as general health improved a bit. Now I say things wrong occasionally but on the whole it's ok. I have problems understanding other people too and can't recognise accents at all. T...

Acidic urine/low temperature

Hi, I was diagnosed with M.E. about 15 years ago. I have learnt to self manage and treat myself with complementary and alternative treatments as nothing is offered by the NHS (not even simple lifestyle advice about diet etc..!) Recently I have been having a bad phase and have discovered that my temp...
