Is recovery due to self-management or is it a spontaneous thing?
Is there anything that improves the chances of recovery?
Is it that people who recover fully did not actually have CFS/ME but something else, for example a food intolerance?

Thanks for providing this online clinic! Could someone explain why CFS/ME is considered a psychiatric condition and is treated by mental health departments? Is it purely because it is medically unexplained? Or is it believed that everyone with it has an underlying mental illness/disorder or maladapt...

Thanks for your responses. I suspect the personality change may be due to the memory loss, because I’ve gone from being someone who loved to learn and was full of useless (and some useful!) information, to someone who is constantly saying “I don’t know”, “I don’t remember” and blagging/bluffing.
